Chianti Class is in Session!

My friend and fellow wine writer, Rob Frisch, and I love to ham it up on camera! This fresh episode of “Name That Wine” is all about the KING of grapes in Tuscany: Sangiovese. Sangiovese is the main grape in not only Chianti, but in many Super Tuscans (huh? yeah, we explain what a Super Tuscan wine is), as well as Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Morellino di Scansano (from near the Tyrrhenian the coast) and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (not to be confused with the actual grape called Montepulciano.

So when Ruffino called and asked if we might want to taste sample bottles, we said, “Is, grazie!” And then our friends at H2Vino asked the same, we said again, “Is, grazie!”

And that is how and why we decided to focus on these fun and delicious wines. Three “Cin Cins” for Sangiovese! We hope we enjoy!
